Prefacing that she is going to use her right to free speech, Palin told the media to “quit makin’ things up,” and told Hollywood that it “needs to know we eat, therefore we hunt.” Palin attempted to make a stance for the right to bear arms and hunt in Alaska against the “second amendment circuses from Hollywood.”

Excuse me, Sarah Palin, but who in hell told you that you had ANY experience defining what is “made up” and not “made up” in the media? For a woman who spent a few pathetic moments in the spotlight, someone who attended five colleges to graduate and was unable to even simple questions about HERSELF to a softball reporter, you sure have a lot of uninformed opinions about how the “media” that reports on you is getting the story wrong.

Here’s what I think:

You are an ignorant, opportunistic moron who’s not only too dense to know your place in the political process (Siberia, that is) but have decided to scrape up whatever audience you can to further your questionable political career no matter the consequences to this country.

What you SHOULD be doing is attending to the things that actually matter in this life, like the shambles that is your family and the good fight of doing what is morally right for the majority of the people, not just your own selfish interests.

But that doesn’t wash for someone like you, does it? Someone who bases the needs of the world on your own small-minded wants. Someone who can’t seem to see beyond her own navel because of an enormous superiority complex - a complex conservative ignoramuses enabled you to develop from a platform created by a Presidential candidate too old, feeble and politically expedient to understand the insult.

You are a joke - the kind of person we despise and push away because you’re the only one who doesn’t know the curtain has closed. You throw yourself on us, reminding us of your “importance” when we all know better that you are a distraction and poison in our lives and not any kind of help.

Sure. You think this pomp and circumstance around means something. You’ve been brought up over the past few years to believe that you are of greater importance in this world because you were able to fool a small state with large acreage that there was more behind your folksy, simple talk than just “folksy simple talk.” Unfortunately for you, the rest of the country knows an ambitious idiot when they see one and sent you and your campaign packing.

Some advice from me. Reach into your pocket, pull out a twenty and go buy a clue. Get a good one. You’re going to need it.

Getting up in front of the press, spewing hateful, whiny rhetoric and making an ignorant, angry minority even angrier is not the beginning of a movement. It is the end of a large-scale puerility that should have died right after 9-11 but was given a full life by a group of cynical, evil politicians who felt they could benefit, financially and otherwise, by it.

I don’t expect you to understand anything I’m saying. You are so far up your own ass you’ve probably not heard the words of anyone but yourself for a long long time. But mark MY words, Sarah, because I speak as someone who sees the world through a much larger prism than yourself: Your masquerade is over. We know what you’re doing. We don’t like you or it and, if you continue, there will be a day when you’ll reap what you’ve sown. Hopefully, you’ll learn a thing or two before that happens, but given your own self-absorbed nature, I doubt it. Enjoy the fruits of ignorance, you self-centered shrew, because it will be fleeting and afterwards you will be whining about being a victim of the media - again. The difference is, when that happens a second time you won’t even have crickets to accompany you.

Stop being a self-centered, callous idiot and go away. There are real problems in this world that do not have to do with you and your relationship to the media. Furthermore, the smart people of the world want nothing to do with you. The small group of like-minded morons you speak for are political ghosts. Sarah Palin, your savior, your standard-bearer, your 2012 candidate, has just quit her position as governor of Alaska because….well, we don’t know what because is. What we do know is that she couldn’t handle random bloggers creating photoshop files of her image. She’s threatening litigation against anyone who looks at her cross-eyed. She couldn’t deal with letting the public know the truth about anything, therefore trying to have operative during the McCain campaign lie about her husband’s secession membership. She just couldn’t handle the heat…so, naturally, she still leaves the impression to 75% of us that she had no business being part of a Presidential campaign or public office of any sort.

Mark Sanford? Well, once again, a Governor who just couldn’t seem to leave his personal preferences about gay marriage and other issues away from the Governor’s desk, a man who decided ON HIS OWN that the stimulus money would NOT go to those who need it in his state but would, instead, go to paying off the state debt…well, this man has cheated on his wife, lied to her and his children, lied to his staff and the state, and disappeared for a week without any ability for followup. It’s nice he’s in love, but his actions leave the impression for 75% of us that he has no business being in high office and would have been a terrible candidate for President.

John Ensign, Mark Foley, Newt Gingrich, Henry Hyde, Bob Barr, David Vitter, Larry Craig, Tom Delay, Ted Stevens, Scooter Libby, Helen Chenowith, Jack Abramoff…do I REALLY need to go on? I could list in detail the crimes and failures of these scumbags, but will it matter to you?

Yes, I’m talking to you - 25%ers - the people who cannot seem to let go of this idea that George W. Bush was a great President and the republican party of the last 20 years was great and true and honest. Do you REALLY want to have this argument anymore? We outnumber you. Palin’s return to her home state has been a rocky one. Beyond a flood of ethics complaints — most of which have been dismissed — the governor was forced to backtrack on her decision to reject federal stimulus funds, her pick for attorney general was rejected by an increasingly hostile legislature, and her personal life has continued to grab headlines.

Stapleton denied that Palin was leaving office because she’d decided her lightning rod status was a liability to the state — but conceded that the governor felt personally targeted. “I know you want to put that sort of negative word in there, but it’s not a ‘liability’ — it’s that she has a vision for the state…the best way and the best place to effect change at this point is outside her role as governor, because as governor people are just focused on bringing her down rather than building up the state, and that’s not who she is.”

And THIS was someone the right thought would be a great President? No, lady, the micro-focus on YOUR life is the result of your need to constantly be in the spotlight and remain “the victim.” You didn’t need to pick a fight with David Letterman, did you? No, you could have left that alone like any reasonable politician would. You just have an ego issue.

You could have ignored the blogger who created a photoshop file you didn’t like. Instead, you show yourself to be a petty, sensitive ass. And as far as the ethics issues are concerned, no one doubts that you tried to twist and manipulate your office to pressure those who didn’t agree with you. Sarah Palin’s announced a press conference this afternoon to discuss a disturbing discovery she made last night while rummaging through a neighbor’s garbage. To her dismay, she found an autographed photo from her early TV anchor days with a sloppily markered Adolf Hitler mustache.

“This is an outrage to all women, especially those who are family oriented. The intention of this photo is clear: My neighbor is attacking my oldest son, Track, for simply being a formidable young man. While I am aware that the photo is a likeness of me, and was deep inside my neighbor’s garbage bin flanked by two half-eaten burritos, I am also aware that she is a democrat and has ties to the Wasilla P.T.A.

We will take the appropriate actions to make sure this woman cannot do this kind of thing to American’s ever again - and to those democrats who obviously hate all my children, I will hold another press conference tomorrow so they can give voice to their own objections.”

Palin’s latest response comes after liberal Alaskan Blogger Linda Kellen Biegel doctored a photograph of the former Republican vice presidential candidate with her 1-year-old son Trig, who suffers from Down Syndrome.

Biegel, who blogs in support of the Alaska Democratic Party under the name “Celtic Diva,” superimposed a picture of conservative Alaskan radio host Eddie Burke over Trig’s face in an apparent effort to show how close the radio host is with the Alaskan governor.

“Recently we learned of a malicious desecration of a photo of the Governor and baby Trig that has become an iconic representation of a mother’s love for a special needs child,” Palin spokeswoman Meghan Stapelton said in a statement provided to CNN. “The mere idea of someone doctoring the photo of a special needs baby is appalling.”

Please. Give me one…little…break. The photo in question had NOTHING to do with insulting a special needs child. In fact, any FOOL can see the blog photo she’s referring to is a metaphor that is simply using her son’s image comment on a particular radio host. Most abstract-thinking adults can parse this little bit of visual commentary. Anyone but the far right wing and the Palin family. Will someone please shut this woman up?

Sarah Palin will do ANYTHING to remain in the spotlight. She is a vindictive high-schooler who exploits her children any chance she gets. I truly hope she is the Presidential front-runner in 2012.

The last remaining residue of conservative idiocy is available for all to see on 54th and Broadway - but the emotion we are seeing here isn’t too difference from what happened after Nixon took office in 1969. Shortly thereafter, we saw the rise of angry far-left activists like the Weathermen and the SLA who went as far as bombing and kidnapping to spread their messages. While those two groups had manifestos to define their rebellion, these morons have only bad judgement.

What does it matter if others are the casualties of your ambition. What does it matter if you can’t actually get press for something important - such as ideas. Heck, our last President lied about things far more important like the benefactors of the middle class tax cuts, the reason for starting a war with Iraq, the true laziness of his response to Hurricane Katrina, the real inner workings of Valerie Plame’s outing, the Justice Department firings, torture, etc. etc. etc.

Looks like you learned from the experts. And what did you learn? I’ll tell you. Repeat after me:

“I cannot win an argument based on my ideas or the facts. I do not have the articulation capacity to persuade anyone that my ideas have merit. I do not have the credibility to get anyone on my side because of my slim accomplishments and flighty past. So, in an attempt to overcome these obstacles, I will do the most politically expedient thing: I will lie as strongly as I need to in order to gain the upper hand. Juneau, AK (AHN) - Diana Palin, the sister-in-law of of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the first female RepublIcan vice presidential candidate, has been arrested for breaking into a home for the second time this week to steal money, according to the Anchorage Daily News.

Palin, 35, is detained at Mat-Su Pretrial Facility for felony burglary, misdemeanor theft and criminal trespass charges. She was arrested on Thursday after being caught trying to burglarize a home near Wasilla’s Multi-Use Sports Complex. The owner of the home had caught her and called police before she could steal any money.

While it’s great that Palin remains in the spotlight for familial issues such as this, it is unfortunate for everyone around her. This woman is so aggressively ambitious that she’s put her kids, family and extended family in a fishbowl.

Fortunately, this woman is a slow motion train wreck. She will be out of the spotlight before we can all say “betcha”, but not before she does more damage to those around her.

Does anyone care anymore? What’s next with this woman? Is she going to bake a pie and organize a press conference for her to name it? Would she go so far as to join Dancing With The Stars or something equally silly just so she can stay in the spotlight.

And, really, what’s new here. We’re covering the same bloody ground we did months ago. Sarah, the media DOESN’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOU PERSONALLY! You gave pathetic interviews and showed a complete lack of depth in your answers. You proved to the world that you had no business being in this level of politics. Sarah Palin embodied a very different notion of politics, in which sound instincts and valuable life experiences are considered sources of knowledge at least the equal of book learning. She is the product of an America in which explicit displays of pride in intellect are considered unseemly, and where physical prowess and moral constancy are given a higher place than intellectual achievement. She was in the habit of stressing these faculties instead–a habit that struck many in Washington as brutishness.

Ugghhh. Why do so many in this country champion mediocrity. When it comes to our athletes, particularly in our Olympians, we manage every two to four years to find people who are truly exceptional. These people train to exhaustion, settle for nothing less than perfection and sometimes achieve it.

In our politics, we go in the other directions, or at least some sector of the population does.

I think it’s a great achievement that we have a President who is intellectually superior to the average person. I don’t have insecurity issues myself, so I don’t feel threatened by his intellect, or shrug it off as arrogance because I might not understand the abstractness of a particular conversation. But, unfortunately, there are many who do. People who have been conditioned to see intelligence as dishonest and achievement as ugly self-promotion. I just don’t get it.

I must admit, I DO look askew at SOME people, not because of their intellect or lack thereof but due of their lack of curiosity. In George Orwell’s 1984 there is a passage that describes Winston, after a long trist with Julia, listening to a proletariat out the window of their private apartment doing her laundry and singing. The song she is singing is one commissioned by the government, which to them would make the mere existence of it distasteful. For this woman, those kind of ideas are foreign. She doesn’t question the meaning of things. It’s a song she knows and sings it.

The dead-ender neocons are very much like that. They sing the song their given, fear the fear they’re told to fear. Believe the talking points verbatum and question the truthfulness of anyone who merely asks a question. Take a look at the persecution of Scott Ritter and Richard Clarke, both men who as it happened were completely truthful. They were accused of lying for profit or just being insane. Many believed it, never questioned the gaping hole in logic and motivation that would easily exhonorate them.

Now, the argument from the other side is that we, the questioners, are the lemmings. We are the one’s screaming the talking points from our leftist leaders and declining any forethought. Fair enough criticism, but it doesn’t hold up. First of all, the democrats by nature are a fractured bunch. They are a wide spectrum of beliefs, from the blue dogs who are the equivalent of Presbyterian to Catholic - and the far right who are very socialist and whom no one really pays any attention to. To try and forge a movement with this group is laughable. Republicans are always on message and always subservient to the message. That was their greatest power for a while. The power of branding. Say something over and over again until others begin to believe it (well, that’s also the description of propaganda for the nazis as well).

Secondly - and I’ll frame this in regards to the Iraq war - WHEN has a population like ours gone from being pro to con unless the con has overwhelmed the pro. We’ve watched Bush’s approval rating and war approval dive - not due to some mind-controlling manipulation from the mass media, but due to the public’s digestion of the facts, large and small. What the majority of us discovered was there was a link between the bumbling of Katrina and the failure of the war, between the lies of the Valerie Plame fiasco and the lies that took us into Iraq, it all started to click.

For the dead-enders, their stubborness has developed into the opposite conclusion - that nothing is really that bad, the media has brainwashed everyone but them into being against the war and Bush, and that Hannity and Rush are the only truthful voices in a sea of lies. Try to put logic to these beliefs and they fall like a house of cards. But, just like some people who feel Darwinism is a threat to their belief system, they shut out these criticisms and blame someone else.

It’s a very familiar song, one they will ultimately keep singing until there is only one of their kind left. And they will keep on singing it about people like Sarah Palin, George Bush and others who’s motivations for higher office will not be questioned since they are “no better than you or me.”
