The last remaining residue of conservative idiocy is available for all to see on 54th and Broadway - but the emotion we are seeing here isn’t too difference from what happened after Nixon took office in 1969. Shortly thereafter, we saw the rise of angry far-left activists like the Weathermen and the SLA who went as far as bombing and kidnapping to spread their messages. While those two groups had manifestos to define their rebellion, these morons have only bad judgement.
Now, I’m not suggesting these particular people who stand in front of the Ed Sullivan theater will move to that level, but their anger and frustration at losing a political voice - and in the case of many conservatives having a kindred spirit in their prejudices and discrimination - is displaying itself in abortion doctor assassinations and attempts on Obama himself.
All in all, I find these people pathetic. They are all lemmings - and don’t have one independent thought between them. Their anger is completely irrational - in fact, what it does show us is that these people are simply looking for a way to vent anger any way they can and this tame Letterman joke provided them with a vessel for their hatred.
Hannity, Limbaugh, Coulter and Fox News are fanning the flames. If this were happening on the left instead of the right, the right would be screaming “treason!” We’re a little more level headed than those idiots.
So anyway, far right, if you want to continue with this stupid support of an ignorant hick from Alaska who can’t even form a coherent sentence, have at it. If you want to convince yourself that David Letterman, a perfectly gentlemanly mid-westerner who I think is funny most of the time, is a closeted molester, you are alone in your stance.
I don’t really have a problem with what he said even though it was pretty outrageous. The problem I have with the situation is all of the people that are defending him are the same ones that would be having a hissy fit if some conservative said something like that about Obama’s kids.
Nobody’s saying anything about Obama’s kids. You know why? Because the Obama’s don’t try to use their kids as public relations tools like the pathetic Palins do. These people are beyond reproach - and the fake outrage really irks me.
Lets look at the kids of our last few Presidents:
Chelsea Clinton - doing well on Wall Street, no drunken fall-down, no bad press.
Gore’s daughters - both Ivy League graduates, now married, upstanding citizens.
Obama’s daughters - typical teenagers.
Bush’s kids? Drunken bar brawls, run-ins with the police, stupid statements.
Palin’s kids? Well, we know what her daughter did, but, you know something? It’s not a big deal to anyone but the people she’s trying to impress. And the whole issue of including her young daughter in the Letterman feud is grotesque.
Republicans just have a way of showing how stupid they are 99% of the time.
HE included her daughter and how exactly does she have her kids out there any more than Obama does. She hasn’t paraded her kids any more than any other politician you named above. If she does parade them out there more, then please explain it to me. You still didn’t rebut my point that the same people that are defending Dave would be furious if someone said something like that about a Dem’s kid.

This woman pimps her kids any chance she gets. Let me ask you this question: Knowing how cruel children are in school, how much they prefer to remain invisible most of the time in order to avoid being made fun of - would you, as a parent, knowingly do ANYTHING that would make you children’s school years worse? That is EXACTLY what this miserable woman is doing. She can no longer get press based on her stupid, ignorant statements so she’s feigning outrage at a “supposed” slight on her children. The fact of the matter is, she is the one who’s put them in the spotlight - and Bristol has embraced it (we don’t yet know if she really has or if her mother forced her). Whatever the case, they are public figures now courtesy of their mother.

Republican’s present themselves as holier-than-thou so they can trick all the religious conservatives to vote for them. Fortunately, most of the religious conservatives are smarter - or have smartened up.
