Most blogs are for pussies.
I used to comment on blogs frequently. That came to an abrupt end about a year and a half ago. I was thrown off a blog for calling Bush a “bastard liar.” Lets face it, it’s not a new moniker for this man. He’s been called alot worse, as has Obama and Clinton. This ex-communication followed 3 years of trying to at first debate, then push buttons, on neocon and ultra-left websites.
I am, by nature, a liberal - however, that label is not all consuming. I value a free market economy, I find abortion distasteful for personal reasons, and I think Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are absolutely useless and shouldn’t just be voted out, but physically kicked out of government office. Anyway, I find most blogs to be echo chambers - and the comments to be educated but uninspired, and often lacking in the kind of emotion that makes this kind of thing entertaining. One one side of the ring, you might find an exchange such as this:
POSTER: “Bush sucks!”
POSTER #2: “I agree. Bush sucks!”
POSTER #3: “Here here. Bush sucks. High five!”
…and on the other side of the ring, you’ll see something of this sort:
POSTER #1: “Those libtards are assholes!”
POSTER #2: “Yes. I hate those libtards!”
POSTER #3: “The party of is rife with libtards!”
As you can see, there’s no good option. Well, until now.
An equal exchange of ideas has to be honest. Unfortunately, most people wander through their daily lives being anything but. We’ve erected these walls of courtesy in our society that shroud true feelings. How many times have you wanted to tell your boss to go fuck himself but held back? Sure, I understand there are consequences to everything we do, but consequences are always a part of the choices we make. We COULD tell our boss to go fuck himself (or herself), we COULD mention to that blowhard at the dinner party that he’s completely full of shit, and we COULD say what we really think about politics, no holds barred. We choose not to, generally, so as not to disturb the herd.
I don’t know about you, but the hypocrisy of it drives me batty. Therefore, I’ve created this blog.
Let me first tell you what I don’t want to see here. I DON’T want to see personal threats, ridicule of those not in the public spotlight, and spammers. Other than that, tell me what you really think, but do it anonymously. If a commenter says something you absolutely cannot fathom, comment forcefully. If they come back to you with ridicule, tell him or her to go fuck themselves. I will not ban you for that. Press their buttons, because this is the only way to really get to the truth of a debate. When your opponent says what they really think, then you know what they’re made of. If they’re a bigot, that will come through. If they are cowards, you’ll see it in their response. To hell with courtesy. It gets us nowhere. But do this as well. When you turn the computer off, game over. Don’t take that animosity to bed with you. This is not the end of the world here, just opinion.
Use this site as a cathartic vessel. Scream if you want. Tell the world you’re fed up and you’re not going to take it anymore. Use profanity so creatively other posters will call you an artist of the obscene. I know this is not for everyone, but you know who you are.
Now is the time to be bold and say what you think. Now is the time to have a forum that allows that. Welcome to Verbal Paintball.
Fuck you.
I have a big problem with a website like this. First of all, a political discussion needs to be civil.
This made me laugh out loud because I have actually told someone at a dinner party to go fuck himself because he didn’t know what he was talking about. I didn’t even know the guy, but it was obvious the more intoxicated he got the more he thought socialism was the way to go and global warming is our biggest threat. I became so enraged that he was raping my ear that I told him to shut the fuck up because he had contradicted himself several times. Everyone else was thinking it, but I stood up. Looking back it is one of my proudest moments.
